Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Alena Loves ("we," "us," "our") collects through alenalove.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a Canadian-based business and handle personal information consistent with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Order a Custom form: your email, an optional preferred code name, and the details of your request (idea, length, wardrobe, notes, budget, etc.).
• Mailing list: your email, only if you check the opt-in box on the order form or sign up directly — never added automatically.
• Check Status page: no personal data is collected from visitors browsing it — it's a public, read-only list identified by Client ID, not full names.

How we use it

We use your information to review and fulfill your custom order, send you order-related emails (confirmation, status updates, payment links), and respond if you contact us. If you've opted into the mailing list, we'll also send occasional updates and announcements — you can unsubscribe at any time.

Payment information

We don't collect or store your card details ourselves. Payment for approved orders is handled by our payment processor, which processes your payment directly and securely — we never see or keep your full card number.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the Site, each only able to access what they need to do their job:

• Supabase — stores order data in our database.
• Resend — sends order-related transactional emails, and manages our mailing list (only for addresses that opted in).
• Vercel — hosts the Site.
• Our payment processor — handles payment for approved orders.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

The public Site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie is used only when our staff log into the password-protected admin area — regular visitors never receive one.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as reasonably needed for business, accounting, and legal purposes. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, contact us and we'll do so unless we're required to retain it (for example, for tax records).

Your rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, request a correction, request deletion, or withdraw consent to marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us) at any time.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
